No blows are exchanged?
My guild was doing a rated gvg, and before any blows were exchanged, but after the timer was running, they got the 'victory' announcement. At first it was thought that it was indeed a victory, but in the guild status window, the battle does not show up, either as being won or lost, nor was there a mass /resign notice. So could this have been a bugged victory or is there something that we're missing? Could it have been a mass /resign case and as such does not count as a victory since we had not actually exchanged blows yet?

that happened to my guild a few nights ago, the other team didn't load in at all and when we went back to our guild hall and started another match we got the same team, it looks to be a glitch/bug, but it hasn't happened again.

About six months ago same thing happened to my old guild few times. When we started another match, the same guild came again, and everyone got into the match.

Thanks for the info, I'll pass it along so should it happen again, it might be reported as a bug.

Sometimes, when two teams are matched, the servers will accidently place them in different instances, causing a +0 rating victory for both teams. If both teams enter a gvg again at the same time, they will be allowed to fight each other, despite the once-per-day rule of matchups. It's bad programming, but it doesn't hurt the game in any way, so it's not a real problem.
I would much rather fix the "both guild lords die within a quarter second of each other, but it isn't a draw" problem. I think if both teams kill the guild lord within 1 second of each other, it should be a draw. No team deserves +15 rating for essentially losing.

This can also happen when guilds are resetting their match timers in hopes of not facing a guild very far out of their rating range. If they cancel their timer, and the server has selected them for a match but not begun to move them to the instance, they will not show up on your battle and you will get a 1:00 Victory with no log or points.

Something thats interesting to note is you can actually draw gvg's by killing the guildlord at the same time, even though its hard to make it be exactly the same time, happened to me only once, the game doesnt show up on your guild history.
